Short CV

I am an atmospheric physicist (University of Barcelona, UB), a master's degree in applied climatology (UB), and a PhD in science (Technical University of Catalonia, UPC). My research has focused on several fields related with meteorology and climatology, at time that I have combined teaching at secondary and university levels

2025–present: Associate Professor, Department of Physics

2023–2025: Tenue-track lecturer, Department of physics

2015–2023: Part-time assistant professor, Department of physics; Teacher in the International Baccalaureate

2011–2015: .PhD in Science in the Computational physics and applied program, in the Department of Applied physics, UPC. Full time Assistant professor.

Research Interests

Weather and urban climate.
Cities are the habitat where most of the population lives. Climate and weather are modified by these urban areas, altering atmospheric and environmental urban conditions. Cities are the zero zone of global warming, where environmental conditions are greatly harmed by the meteorological dynamics of cities. The research poses the great challenge of urban transformation to improve quality of life and comfort in cities.

Mental health and thermal comfort
Thermal discomfort affects people's physical and mental health. Temperature, humidity and wind are key factors that condition thermal comfort, affecting mental health (behavior, anxiety, depression, stress, ...).

Atmospheric dynamics (climate and weather).
Meteorology and climate change affect ecosystems and society in different ways. Through statistical analysis and numerical simulation, meteorological phenomena that have an impact on the environment and society are studied.
